Our 5 Step Cleaning Process

Our baby equipment cleaning standards follow a thorough 5 step cleaning process.

Step 1

VACUUMING

We vacuum from top to bottom, inside all moving parts, hidden seams, covers and straps to remove every last crumb.
Step 2

CLEANING

We use a combination of water and mild detergent, or dye-free and scent-free soap (such as castile soap) to remove germs, dirt, stains and impurities from baby gear items. These types of cleaning agents safely clean fabrics and surfaces using surfactants to remove dirt, grease, and common bacteria and viruses.
Step 3

SANITIZING

Our next step is to sanitize and deodorize every spot with a professional steam cleaner. Our steam cleaners steam water in excess of 212 degrees effectively killing 99.9% of bacteria and germs in just one second, leaving us with beautifully clean chemical-free baby gear. All manufacturer guidelines are followed during this process.
Step 4

DRYING

We are sure to soak up any excess water and moisture with microfiber cloths and then let the fabric dry completely. We often set items in the sun, outdoors, or in front of a fan to thoroughly dry.
Step 5

SAFE ADDEMBLY

Finishing our process, we carefully reassemble all pieces back together following manufacture guidelines.

Car Seat Cleaning

Vacuuming
We vacuum from top to bottom, inside all moving parts, hidden seams, covers and straps to remove every last crumb.
Cleaning & Sanitizing
We use a combination of warm or cool water and mild detergent or soap (such as Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap, plant-based and unscented dish soaps, free and clear laundry detergents and unscented baby shampoos or body washes) to remove germs, dirt, stains, bacteria, viruses and impurities from car seats. We take extra caution and care with straps and buckles.
Drying
We are sure to dry any excess water and moisture with microfiber cloths and then let the fabric, the seat frame and the base dry completely. We always thoroughly dry car seats (with fans or sunshine) to prevent rust or mold.
Reassembly
We are careful to put all the pieces back together.

*We ALWAYS clean according to manufacture guidelines*

*We NEVER soak, saturate, or submerge harnesses or any straps*

*We NEVER “hose down” or power wash car seats*

*We NEVER use cleaners on the crotch buckle or chest clip (water only)*
